Anyone Interested in a Byrnie?

I have a spare byrnie laying around that it's about time to get rid of so I can get some of the other pieces I need. It's butted 14 guage 3/8" ID galvanized. I have a 37" chest and I'm 5'10". It fits my chest well and comes down to my waist. Is anyone interested? If so, e-mail me an offer or let me know and I'll put it up on the auction.

Oh, whoa is me. I've been desperate for a byrnie for a while now, and your even about my size too. But, my former roomate skipped out of town owing me 600 bucks. I can barely afford to eat right now.

Roommates suck. They should all die. That, or worse, has happened to 5 of my friends.

Yep, been down that path myself with the skipping-out roomie. Sorry to hear it.

How much does the Byrnie weigh?
What is the sleeve length (Mid-arm, Mid-bicep)?

The weight is about 16 pounds and the sleeves are short coming down to a little above what I'd call mid-bicep.
I'm getting rid of it because I have a hauberk also and I need kidney, leg, and hand protection to get SCA legal.

I would be completely open to a trade. I need gauntlets, leg armor, and a breastplate preferably in a 14th or 15th century style.

sorry, I don't have any armour to trade. I do a lot of leather tooling though, I've gotten pretty good at that. Mostly belts and pouches and such.
I'm also learning to carve drinking horns. I can handle simple designs well enough, it is just getting to the tools that is the main problem.

btw, if someone here had the $ for it how much were you asking anyway?

Would it fit a 44" chest?

I would offer a set of forged stainless steel cutlery and or a plastic heater shield blank. Let me know.

No, Anradan, it won't fit that large a chest. Mine is 37" and it fits me well.
