Authentic looking Pigface Bascinet

i am in the process of changing personas to the late 14th early 15th cen. i would like to buy an authentic looking pigface bascinet for sca combat.i would like to hear your opinions on who makes the most authentic looking helm.it would be side hinging vervellies for the aventail brass trim around the visor breaths on the correct side some one who does not have a years backlog would be nice but i guess i can't have it all can i?

I'll second Anshelm Arms.
I think his backlog is at least a year though.

I am getting a spring steel bascinet from Anshelm. I called dibs on the commision slot in February, he said delivery would be by Estrella.... 2002
So... Awesome work.. but a bit of a wait. plus is on the spendy side.

has anyone heard of a fellow by the name of Tom Justus? i saw some pictures on his website.his work looked pretty good.i sent him an inquiry but have not heard back from him yet.i will agree on anshelm arms having nice bascinets but the one i wanted was 1500.00 can't afford that much right now.

He is high Fitz, but on the bright side he doesnt take a down payment till work starts. It looks like 1- 1 1/2 year back log though.
I ordered an oniontop with klappvisor pigface a couple of weeks ago. I checked with Mac Phearson and his was about 2500-3000
OUCH!, But he is the best,about a year wait with him too. White mountain makes a sweet one, quite a bit cheaper, but i didnt like the bar accross the occular.Im sure without a doubt he could make a historic version though with no problem.He might be one of the best bets for the money......otto

I say go with Anshelm. That's my 14th century harness on his site. I love my helm and the visor is awesome in person, brass work with my motto engraved all the way around. I haven't seen any others as nice.
