Looking for a sword

I am looking for a Arabian calvary sword. Not sure exactly what era it is from (back when they used swords

). I think they are also called scimitars and shamishirs...

Has anyone here ever made anythng like this?

Well CAS makes a scimitar, and the price is pretty good but I would only use it for carrying around at events. I don't belive that it would stand up to any really hard cutting work. I would stay away from the ones made for MRL by windless. other then that theres not alot out there in the scimitar line. however you might take a look at the early saber made by Gus Atrim ( sells though Albion Armour- albionarmorers.com ) They are not a copy of any one sword but are true to the style of swords. yes they tend to be a little $$$ but you get a blade thats very well made and very close to weight and balence.
