. I have a 1710 British naval blunderbuss. It's in fire able condition though I wouldn't advise it... I'm looking for 1500 on it or trade for 14th sca kit pieces. My hobby of gun collecting, i've decided is far less fun than my SCA hobby and this will help me get into a more period kit.

Cheers Caleb

Damn I wish I could swing $1500. Does it have proof and makers marks?

Just out of curiosity, what armour pieces are you looking for (or at least what is your priority list) and about what size are you? What nationality is your persona?

What is the inner bore on the blunderbuss?

I am a small fit guy. 5'11'' 28" waist 38" chest I'm 14th century French with English influence.

My dream kit is pictured

The proof marks are in this picture.

The inner bore is fan shaped but at the end it's a little more than an inch tall and a little shy of being about 3" wide the barrel is HEAVY brass like between a quarter of an inch to a half inch thick at parts.

Caleb - I do happen to have a very similar body to your dream armour. Oddly it shrank after I left active duty but it is still about a 48" chest and 34" waist before kidney belt. It is galvanized under black velvet with many rivets and except for one little tear (right in the front of course) looks really nice. It just would not buckle tight enough to fit you and would not make enough of a dent in your asking price.

I also have a pair of stainless greaves with demi-sabatons but they are in clydesdale size and just are not made in such a way that they can be cut down. Oh well, at least I already have a reproduction blunderbuss.
