Etched stainless steel. Pauldrons - ends tomorrow at ebay

Post by Mikael d'Armstreet »

Ebay link for current pair (ends soon)! http://www.ebay.com/itm/230703411769

Stainless steel (16 ga), solid sliding rivets construction.
Now I can say we achieved quality of etching I'm almost happy with.

The pauldrons are a bit small for the model, but love the designs on the etching. They are as much art as armor.

Thank you. Actually, at last Pennsic I saw that most SCA fighters use smaller pauldrons then it's typical for rebated steel melee. This is why we made these 'slim-fit'. But anyway we do custom-sized armor so it's not an issue.
3 shells? I'll check, probably you're right

I want a full suit of this armor, but I know that if I had it I wouldn't be able to fight in it. Every time I took a hit I would cry out in emotional anguish and run to the side of the field to oil it and stroke it and tell it it's the bestest armor in the world.

Those are to pretty tot fight in. Then again, everyone will be so distracted looking at them that I might actually win a bout or two :)

Indeed. That would be strictly for parade/dress. I'd be tempted to walk around town just for the hell of it.

Mikael, I really like the look of those etched pauldrons and gauntlets. If I were to order a set of each how much would I be looking at with shipping? I have been looking very carefully for new gauntlets for SCA fighting and these paired with those pauldrons look like just the thing.

I look forward to hearing your response,

Amen brother. I don't think it would be very manly if I was sitting on the sidelines crying every time someone hit my pretty pretty armor. But I really want some.
