Leather Armor, Hilts, and a slew of other crap.

Post by WyldeHair »

I am now taking orders for leather work and costuming. I have a good deal of experience in the late 14th to mid 15th c. and a reasonable amount of knowledge where leather armor is concerned. my work is 100% custom, and 100% customizable. I will work directly with you and to your specifications. (Please if your not local i.e; San Diego Area. please keep it simple as it is impossible to measure someone over the internet or the phone.)

I also have several custom made sword hilts going to waste in my closet. these hilts were made to customer specifications and never paid for. they may require some re-polishing and or re-surfacing (both of which I am happy to do.)

If you have questions or comments please pm me or leave me a message.

Thank you,
R.J. "WyldeHair" KinKaid

More information about what I do and where I'm located can be found @ Renevatio.Yolasites.com there are not alot of pictures up right now because of the changeover but new ones will be up soon.

Can you post a link to your pics?

I might be interested in one of the sword hilts (tentative dibs depending on cost/appearance).

Do you need any articulated joints for your projects. I am local to you.

I would also like to see the sword hilts. Are they for steel or rattan weapons?

The hilts are designed for steel weapons however, I can build hilts for rattan. as far as price goes: because they were ordered and never paid for, and because, at least on of them is incomplete I'm only charging around $20 plus the cost to ship. I'll be posting new pics of my hilts as soon as I am able. there is one picture( it's not a very good on) of my "Rib Cage" hilt on my website. there are also a couple(I believe) pics of my old hilts on the page. http://www.Renevatio.Yolasite.com

The hilts are all made of 1/8 inch heat treated rod stock. fitted for a 1/8 to 1/4 inch by 3/4 inch blade. if you have measurements I can check the size for you.

At the moment I'm not doing any of the steel I was doing last year. An unfortunate turn of events cost me a great deal of work space. However, should the need arise, and I need articulated steel, I'll keep you in mind. I checked out your work, nice stuff. . .
