For Sale: SALLET, KETTLE HAT, Kussnach brigandine, gauntlets
Re: For Sale: Kussnach brigandine, Breastplate, Gauntlets,Go
Thank You very much for feedback Wouter!
I'm very glad
It seems that ukrainian airmail works well!
About customs - no problem at all, I just made that You asked me.
Bevor is made from one piece and lining is handmade (no machine stitches at all) =) I always try to sew with really small stitches
Small crack on breastplate appeared after re-polishing, I'm sorry that I didn't told You. It is was not realy visible as for me, that's why I've thinked that it is not important.
Thank You for a nice deal!
With All Respect
Volodymyr

1) Sallet - SOLD to Lionscourt
For size of head: 56-58cm round (22-23inches approximately)
Made from 2.0 and visor from 1,5mm (approximately 12 and 15 gauage) mild steel.
Good helmet with good shape, it was used by my friend Oleksandr for 2 years appoximately. Mainly on living history events.
I don't advice this helmet to be used in full-contact steel battles and fights (there is no big amount of space for dents from halberds or other heavy steel stuff).
Helmet has comfortable handmade lining.
I'll refurbish helmet before sending in next way:
-totaly renew satin polishing;
- refresh paint from inside;
- I'll make a new "button".
Helmet will be sent not later than 3 days after receiving payment. It is the time I need to refurbish it.
You can check original (big size) photo here:
http://kukuznia.io.ua/album504989
2) Kettle hat - SOLD to Swiss_pike
Kettle hat without lining! Owner - Oleksandr, same as sallets. He can make a new handmade lining of same quality as in sallet for additional 45$.
For size of head: 56-61cm round (22-24inches approximately)
Made from 2.0mm (approximately 12 gauage) mild steel.
Paintings made with natural oil paints.
I have nothing to refurbish in this helmet. I can't refresh paintings.
Helmet will be sent on next day after receiving payment. If You'll decide to order lining, it will be +3 days.

Kussnach price: 250$ with shipping to USA
To order that one from me will cost 450$, it is a great offer, if this Kussnach is good for Your sizes.

I really like the look of the armour stand on your site. How much would that cost shipped to the U.S.?
Thanks

Hello all, I would just like to say I got my kettle hat on Saturday and I am quite happy with it. So for those of you wondering if he is worth dealing with then rest assured he is quite professional and I have only good things to say about his work.

Re: For Sale: SALLET, KETTLE HAT, Kussnach brigandine, gaunt
Okay this is not a review i ever wanted to do but i feel i now have no choice since i have expended all other possible avenues.
My first order for a spring steel Whisby COP went like a charm, a few problems on Kyka's end with his steel hardening firm playing silly buggers which blew out the delivery time but contact was good and the COP itself was superb and fit like a glove. I felt confident enough to go ahead and order a set of spring steel arms.
I ordered and paid in full for my arms on the 30th April and everything seemed to go well with updates and such like but then the contact petered out and stopped.
But then i got a series of messages that said the arms had been sent between the 21/06/12 - 01/07/12 but I have never seen any pics of the completed arms and despite repeated messages and phone calls (from Australia to the Ukraine) and many promises to send a tracking number I have never been given either.
Today is the 29/08/12 which is over two months for delivery and I feel i have waited long enough. (I know sea mail takes three months but i paid for air mail.)
Now, I am convinced that Volodymyr is a really nice guy and a man of integrity but i'm at a loss for another way to approach this. If you read this and are in contact with Volodymyr please make him aware of this post so we can work this out or if you read this Volodymyr, please send me the tracking number/photos so i can get off your back and do things for myself.

Re: For Sale: SALLET, KETTLE HAT, Kussnach brigandine, gaunt
You are not alone, I ordered gauntlets back in february and still nothing, that was supposed to be finish in march. He said he had problem with the production, then no news for a while. Last thing he responded to me saying he don't have regular internet access for the moment. I hope that he will get the things right

Re: For Sale: SALLET, KETTLE HAT, Kussnach brigandine, gaunt
I've now had contact from Kyka, apparently his home got wiped out by a flood about six weeks ago and since then his life has been unspeakably difficult.
He is now apparently pulling out all the stops to try and locate my parcels from his end with the Ukranian postal service and trying to find pictures of the completed items (he lost his computor in the flood too).
There is now hope with renewed communication.

Re: For Sale: SALLET, KETTLE HAT, Kussnach brigandine, gaunt
Hello to everyone
I still have this small Kussnach brigandine from post #1
It is new, nobody used it, it has no rust and so on.
It has price 250$ includding shipping (it is more than 50% discount).
I'm ready to concider any offer and probably agree with it, I just want this brigandine to be useful to somebody, not just lying in locker in my smith.
