What should I use this canvas for?

Hello folks,
I'm itching to do an acrylic painting. I have a 22x28" canvas and plan to use it for a piece which will eventually be up for sale. I would like to reproduce an original manuscript illustration or other interesting work of art, as that is what I've been training myself to do this past year or so. All of my work is done free hand and is interpretive, but I go to great lengths to recreate the proportions, style and color of any work I do. I'm aiming to create a pleasing piece which will hopefully be deemed worthy of sale at a fair price. Ideally, at the size mentioned, it should be something used as a wall hanging or flung up on a mantle.
So, the question is, what would you like to see me paint? Here are some ideas. I'd gladly welcome additional art to consider. If someone's serious about buying something particular, I can discuss an obligation-free commission to reserve the work. Cheers!

Showing off a bit of what I'm talking about...
An ink and watercolor illustration from the Codex Manesse. Sorry it's not finished yet, haven't updated the thread in a while!
And a thread with a map I very recently sold on the AA, carved in leather.
Some ideas for this project...
Frederick Barbarossa from the Welf Chronicle, c. 1180. Larger view here.

Ulrich von Liechtenstein from the Codex Manesse, c. 1300. Larger view here.

Maciejowski Bible battle scene, c. 1250.

Cnut the Great from the Liber Vitae, 1031. Larger view here.

Tolkien's map of Wilderland, published as a book end in The Hobbit, 1937.
Lindisfarne Gospel carpet page, c. 700... This would be, ummm, expensive.
