The kind you burn in a furnace, that is. I just moved into a house with a coal-burning furnace, retrofitted for natural gas in ~1950. The coal cellar's still full of coke (by my estimate, about 2 cubic meters of the stuff)
It burns very hot once you get it lit, and it doesn't have a sell-by date, so it's still good.
I can't build a forge, so if anyone wants any of this, it's free to a good home. You come carry it away - bring your own sacks, etc.
