When counting on other people to come through for me, I always like to say that be prepared for later. I would not want to disappoint you if you needed something for Pennsic. I do nhave some stock now if you are looking for something in time for Pennsic.

I preordered a hauberk, just wondered, will we here hear about any changes here, or should we expect any updates via email? I am good either way, just curious about where I should get info as the time passes.

Thanks!

Hehe woke her up, she said don't talk to me about this now, so I waited, and finally got an all clear last night at about midnight, figured I'd order today, hrm, in fact now. It is costing me an almost completely redone bathroom for her, for me to fix the honda, re-do the siding on the back of the house, and will be a combo anniversary/birthday and probably next christmas present. :) Worth it though. *snoopy dance*

Your Grace, I've forgotten: does a 40" chest on your medium size mean the shirt itself measures 40" when stretched, or that it fits up to a 40" chest (eg, the shirt is more like 43")? Also, could you tell me the weight on a medium mild 9mm haubergeon?

I need to measure my current shirt at home tonight and see if this would be an improvement...

The medium will fit 40 inches and no more. Best to go with a large if you are bigger. Measure ove whatever garments you are planning on wearing under it.

The haubergeon is about 15 lbs.

So it literally measures 20" across when stretched flat? Just want to be sure...

Edit- never mind, I just tried on my current one over a tight coat and it seems to work OK. Thanks for your time. I'd still like the clarification for future reference, though. :)

Hi. Could I order a sleevless shirt with a different ring style? I know the manufacturer makes them. I'm wanting a 7m.m. i.d. round ring/round rivet with a zinc finish. That or loose rings in that style, and loose washers to match? Ant.

Hi,

If a medium is 40'', would you recommend a large or x-large for a 47'' chest? I measured with shirt, and there is a possibility of putting on a few inches due to weightlifting.

Thanks,
YMH

The large goes up to 44". XL would be what I would recommend for a 47" chest.

This may be a stupid question, but does the 20% discount include the riveted maille shirt, or is it anything ordered in addition to that?

So, resurrecting this thread for a couple of reasons....

First, I was surprised to get the hauberk I pre-ordered in the mail today, well in advance of the time His Grace warned us this could take. I was honestly not expecting to see it until after Pennsic, and now I will have it for the entire war season.

And it is perfect. It fits exactly right, looks awesome, and was worth every penny. In my opinion Icefalcon should be viewed as one of the most reliable armorers in the business. Thanks again...now, I just need to scrape some $$ together and convince my wife that a matching aventail is a necessity. ;-)

Negative. In fact, I sent shirts from my stock to fill these orders. There were few orders taken for the sale where these orders were made. Since I had the items in stock, I thought it would be good to send their shirts to them so they would have them for the season, instead of holding onto my stock and waiting till their gear came in. I will let you know when the brass, Ti and wedge riveted maille comes in.

Be well,

Anyone who wants an XXL Ti hauberk, by the way, can get a steal of a deal if they buy mine. :)

I bought it, it's exactly what he's described, but I'm simply not fond of it. I like my stainless better. Slightly heavier, absorbs more of a blow (I think), and I'm used to it.
