New to SCA - Need Heavies Armor

Post by Draconis »

I'm new to the SCA and am looking for some cheap servicable Armor. I have a Breast Plate, and need everything else. It doesn't have to be pretty. I'm 5'8" tall and weigh about 160 (hope to be down to 150 before the next war) Any help would be greatly appriciated. Oh and a final Note, I need it to be as cheap as possible.

P.S. as a preference, My Persona is that of a Landsknecht, so if the armor would be appropriate for that, all the better.

P.S.S. And to be obvious, it has to be SCA (Caid) Legal armor.

Have you checked out Truehearth yet? Cheap, sturdy, good service.

Yup.. Currently in negotiations with Carlo for a custom lorica. So far he's been a great guy and answered all my questions.

(Edited for my dumb spelling mistakes. It's what I get for archiving before I have my coffee)

I make HDPE armor, and my prices are very reasonable. Check out my site.
If you must go with steel, I would recommend Truehearth as well.

I"ve checked out TrueHeart, but I'm looking for used if possible, since it should be cheaper. And at the same time I checked out Alchemy, its nice looking stuff, but I'm a purist at heart and my mind rebels at the idea of going out in anything less than leather or metal armor, Thank You all though...Still looking.
