Full Kit, whole or piece by piece

Post by Draconis »

I posted a request for armor a few weeks ago, I got 2 responces, one of them was from an actual armorer, I lost the reply due to an e-mail accident, so if you could please responde again.

P.S. If anyone has anything new since mylast post, please feel free to reply or e-mail me. Cheap is best, and it still doesn't have to be pretty, just functional.

My armor could be described as "inexpensive but functional". Take a look at my site, I've gotten some very positive feedback.

Hey Dalewyn,

I checked your site out and your stuff looks good. I am considering ordering some of your stuff, the question I have though, is can/will you make the armor in different styles? My Persona is a Lanskenkt, and as such armor of italian design isn't what 'd prefer. And I figure if I'm going to order something, i should try to get what I want and what I need. Please get back to me.

P.S. I have ordered a Helm off of e-bay, and have a breast plate, so I am looking for arms, legs, gorget and gauntlets. I am also looking to get the gear for lights, so if anyone knows where I can get a 3 weapons mask in southern california, please let me know.

Where in So. Cal? I know of a fencing supply house in Van Nuys (San Fernando Valley).

Draconis, do you think you could provide a link or two showing Landschenekt(sp?) armour? I could probably help you out if I saw a few pictures...

Thanks.

I'm trying to find some pictures showing armor for the Landsknecht. I can't seem to find any so far. The Landsknecht are German, if my information is correct around the 16th century starting at around 1520. If this helps anyone with more knowledge of armor than me (ok, with any knowledge of armoring) I'd appriciate any help you can give me.

go to
http://public.srce.hr/husar/
click on Renaissance
then click "Imperial NCO, Battle of Sisak 1593" it's a little late but pretty close to what you are looking for

also click German Landsknecht 1530
he is however unfortunately unarmoured

also check out
