Good Afternoon,
Who makes inexpensive tabards for melees teams? This would be "stars" vs "stripes" with one set of tabards in stars, and the other in stripes. Synthetic material is perfectly acceptable, and the craftmanship should be tough and easy to keep on, but not terribly historical. Visible machine stiching is highly encouraged, etc...
Almost "road guard vests" would work, but in stars vs. stripes. One size fits most.
Any advice?

Not exactly the patterns you're looking for, but I have these folks bookmarked in my BotN folder as a source for inexpensive sparring tabards -

Aaron, Do you think one set in blue with stars(white), and the other one in red with stars(white) would work?
I'm asking, cause a few weekends ago my wife and I were making barding for our horse for River War, and we were cutting out Maltese crosses, and then ironing them on. (Bloodguard) It was a relatively easy process. The ironing paper...transfer paper?...we got from Walmart, and it was relatively cheap...a few bucks. As for the tabards I'd recommend using blue and red denim or canvas material. I'll ask my wife when I get home what she thinks, and I'll ask Ice when next i see him. (probably Monday)

Shirts vs skins?
Re: Two sets of 5 tabards for BotN melee practice?
I'd like to avoid that one on principle. I would look bad as a skin, and I'm looking for people with armour, if possible.

Your a little late, we sold a bunch of tabards at the pennsic lost and found auction.
One of the merchants had aethelmearc tabards around 30$ each. If you could track down Vicky I'm sure she could make something simple with a quick turnaround.
