Coif for Sale (with pictures)

Post by Galileo »

Up for sale:

5/16" 16 gauge Bronze coif. Assembled using the expanding ring method (no seams) and weighs in at around 3.75 pounds -- roughly; I know it's less than 4 pounds, since I started with 4 pounds of rings and have a bit left.

Here's the pictures: http://tullis.members.easyspace.com/

Great work Galileo! Just a few questions for my inquisitive mind. What's the ring count at the brow and at the widest part of the mantle? Also, how many rows with no expansion at the brow? (just to give me an idea of sizing, i'll be presenting this to my group tomorrow in case someone is interested. Also, how much are you selling the coif for?

70 rings at the brow, last expansion row is six rows up. 126 rings in the last row of the mantle. As far as cost, I've got about $55 in materials (including shipping them here) so I was thinking around $125 USD (or reasonable offer) and buyer pays shipping.

Oh, and this coif is made completely with bronze rings from DeCordene` Wireworks.

That is beautiful man!
That sure would go good with the kings helm from Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
I don't need a coif now, but I sure like it.
Thanks for the pic.

Hal.

Ps: Good luck on your auction.

but I LIKE that shirt! Besides, it's new.

Abaddon has decided not to purchase the coif, so if no one else here wants to buy it, I'll stick it up on eBay probably tomorrow or Wednesday.
