Reproduction of an axe head found in an 11th century cemetery in Lutomiersk, Poland. The bearded edge is typical of the period throughout northern Europe, but the elongated hammer head on the back is rather unusual. It's an excellent design feature, though, which adds weight to blows from the axe and provides additional clubbing capability.
