This is based on an example in " Armour From Medieval Rhodes " http://www.amazon.com/Medieval-Armour-R ... val+rhodes . The original was intended to be used with an open faced sallet or kettle helmet. I had the luxury of using an original piece of armour I owned at the time to work from for the upper plate.

The workmanship on this is exquisite (Al at Mercenary Tailor); and the service of getting to to me was excellent (Andy at Pitbull Armory); and the bevor looks great when paired with a sallet or kettle helm; but as I feared the bevor wasn't designed with an eastern European nose in mind and I won't be able to use it.
