I have finished the prototype "hausse-col" - a collar of maille. I am rather pleased with how it turned out, though after discussions here on the archive it may be that the "hausse-col" that was thought to be just a collar was really the collar of an otherwise hidden mantle.
In any case, this collar of maille is made of our signature riveted maille, blackened with olive oil. It has two rows of brass rings at the top. Two brass buckles by Talbot's Fine Accessories keep it all together. The foundation is leather, backed with quilted muslin and cotton batting.
It is just a bit small for me, and I have a 17 1/4" neck. I suspect it would fit well on a person with a 16 1/2" or so neck.
I'm asking $30 for it, plus shipping of $9.90 UPS Ground Insured within the US. I'll ship outside of the UPS but it may cost more.
