Small antler hilt belt knife auction for March.

Post by Ironbadger »

Another small antler hilted belt knife.

Whittle tang, 1/8th inch carbon steel stock from the antique stash.
Deep bevel, with some of the skin left on at the spine to give it that blacksmithed look.
Razor sharp, and nicely fitted in its own wet formed sheath.
Rough mirror polish.
Blade is 4 inches long, 7 1/4 inches overall.

No other metal- done as a period style knife, and the epoxy is color matched to replicate cutler's cement made from pitch, sawdust and beeswax.
A medieval pocket knife... Suitable for just about any period or European culture from post roman to the late medieval era.

Opening bid of $50, and we'll run this until Sunday for a 3 day auction.

Buyer must contact me within 3 days of the end of the auction so that I know you're still interested- payment by paypal so I can pay some bills, and shipping charges will be $15 to US addresses.
I regret that this one cannot be sold to non US addresses because of questions and complications over international import laws governing antler... Which is not an issue for US residents.
