Backgammon Set

If anyone is interested in making a backgammon set, I'm interested in buying one.

The basic idea is I need a recreation of a set of tables and checkers I made in 2005. My board was walnut and about 18" x 24"--a pretty respectably sized board--with 1 5/16" checkers made of rosewood and white oak.

I made it by gluing up a couple of wide 3/4" thick boards as a base.

Then I took a peice of 3/4" walnut, cut twelve holes in it with a hole saw (six per side--as you probably know, a backgammon board has twenty four points). I drilled six holes, leaving a 3/16" space betwen holes, then left a 2" gap, then drilled another six, making for twelve holes.

Then I ripped that in half with a table saw so that the round half circles could serve as places for the checkers to sit at the points.

Then, I made a frame with narrow (3/4") sides, the peice I made with the half circles, and a wider peice in the middle (2") for the bar upon which peices go when "hit."

I glued that onto the board I made as the base, then ripped the sides in such a way that it was all square and flush.

Anyway, the board I made is sitting at my mother's house and I need a new board for Crossroads in Time 2014. Let me know if you're interested in the work.
