Commission request for maillers

Wanted:

Someone who knows how to knit maille who is interested in a challenge.

I own a riveted Indian maille shirt and coif. The shirt has elbow-length sleeves and comes to my hips. I want someone who would be willing to increase the sleeves to wrist length, add a mailled mitten to the right hand, attach the coif to the shirt and add a ventail. This will involve simply attaching riveted maille cloth to a finished garment.

This is a project I would do myself, but I don’t have the time for it currently.

I will provide the riveted maille tools and materials. I simply need someone who can make these alterations for me and can guarantee the return of my shirt by the middle of July.

Responses/inquiries should be made here, or to my e-mail address.

When you say materials, is this a rings made or wire?

Unfortunately I'm heading down to the Lower 48 from May 16-June 2 but if you are still looking for an assembly tech about then and the rings are already made I'd be willing to give it a try.

It would definately make a good display activity for me to be doing in my shop's booth at the local faire in June.

Patrick:

This is rings, rivets and fabric. All in all, a fairly easy bit of piecework.

Sure thing then. If you still need somebody and don't mind the shipping to Anchorage I'll volunteer.

Guess you'd have to work with the shipping time though sine I can't actually start peening rivits until the 3rd. I should be able to check in here the third week of this month just in case.
