really good looking armour, nice work.

as for this
but some of the slighter riders find full armor too cumbersome to ride in.
i wince. Get better armour.

This armour is great for playing at medieval combat, but I'd only put it on the most experienced riders and then only for certain stuff, but certainly never jousting. Falls from horses kill and cripple people, use the best you can or something nasty might well happen. Be safe!

Actually I`m not a fancier of falling from the horseback anyway :).
But If I had to do it wearing armours I made, I`d feel myself as safe, as wearing steel armours.

I'm not sure I understand the concern. Quite obviously, falls can hurt folks and are a risk in any equestrian activity. Wearing lightweight armor such as Sergey's does not add to that risk, no does it make injury more likely in the event of a fall (personal opinion, probably quite the opposite). When examined, one of the primary concerns was that it needed to break safely (i.e. no jagged edges) in the event of a possible failure. It doesn't, and for that matter is surprisingly tough. Sergey posted a link to a destruction test earlier in this thread, if you'd like to take a look at what happens during failure (mostly, it just kind of tears).

FWIW, the piece Sergy submitted was examined by the Society Equestrian Marshal, who holds a PhD in nanotechnology from CalTech and the Caid Kingdom Equestrian Marshal, who by day is an aircraft inspector with extensive experience with aircraft composites-- a use in which failure has significantly more repercussions than in our game. I can't think of two people more qualified to pass judgement on LARP AM's work.

For the record, none of this should be read as an endorsement of LARP AM by the SCA, the marshals or myself. All we're saying is that it qualifies as "rigid material" for styrofoam jousting (NOT balsa tip) and mounted combat armor for the current armor guidelines.
