Plasma for sale cheap

Post by Zweihammer »

In my travels I picked up a plasma cutter at a garage sale, the fellow selling it claimed it was an arc welder that didn't work. So you can tell I know the whole history of it. It is complete and powers up but is missing all the conumables in the torch. My problem is it is an off brand in this area as it is an Italian make, Cebora, and not one of the shops I deal with are willing to get parts for me. So I am gettng a Thermal Arc and giving up on this. I am told they are pretty comon in Europe, but shipping what I guess to be 50# or so won't make it worth anyone over there bothering with. As I said I don't know if it truly works or not, but if you are willing to gamble I am looking to get the $100 I have into it. Those interested can contact me with your zip and I can look into shipping for you and email pictures.
Cheers, Erick D.

The plasma is a 208/230 single phase machine, that uses compressed air, I imagine if it is like any other probably needs somewhere on the order of 10 to 12 cfm @ 80 psi. The face says "Plasmacar 30" and "art item 895". I will post or more correctly have someone else post pictures of it for me this next week. I went to Cebora's website but couldn't find any information on it or the consumables. I looked into converting the torch to a more common Ltec or Thermal Dynamics torch as we use at my work but it seemed more trouble than it is worth. The inside is clean and it powers up, but I know that means nothng with electrics.
