Brand is a good friend to many of us. He has received some devastating news. His doctors have told him he risks becoming paralyzed just by going about his day. If you know Brand you know his zest for life. He is a go'er, a do'er, he lives for the moment and the adventure. He is a respected person, a noble knight, a funny, creative,generous, and resourceful soul. Devastating as his news was, Brand did not give up. He has been corresponding with a medical facility in Germany. After reviewing his medical records and history they have assured Brand they are able to do the surgery to COMPLETELY restore his health and mobility. The procedure does not have the FDA approval in the US.
Brand is against the clock. Any everyday accident--a stumble on the stairs, a minor traffic accident, a fall from a bicycle, could cause permanent paralysis. We need to help our friend become whole again. His sister and my best friend, Lisa Galli, also known as Duchess Bryne McClellan has taken to social media to help raise funds. She is new to the concept and not sure how to promote this cause. In an effort to raise money for Brand's flights and procedure I will be hosting an auction at Pennsic and again at Purgatorio. I need donations. I also need to be clear- I am doing this as a friend to Jeff and Lisa ( Brand and Bryne), not as the Queen of the West.
Lisa has set up a paypal account for those who wish to donate money rather than an auction Item. A 'GoFundMe' website will be up in a day or two. I will update as I can. You are encouraged to gift him as much as you can spare even if that is only $5-- and send a note of encouragement. can you believe He doesn't think anyone will donate to his medical fund? He doesn't know how important he is to us and how much we love him.
