REVIEW: HALBERDS-VRAH

Post by Trevor »

Here's a partial review.

I commissioned Halberds to make a Variable Rate Air Hammer a little over a month ago. For those who are wondering, a VRAH is an armoring tool designed to dish and planish metal at a high rate of speed compared to dishing by hand. It is capable of performing 100, 150 or 200 strokes per minute. It runs off of AC power and air power supplied by an air compressor.

Ron was always very prompt as to maintaining contact several times a week, along with sending me multiple pictures of the VRAH as it took shape.

Long story short, it arrived today at my office, ahead of schedule.

While I have yet to hook the VRAH up yet and try it out, I can attest that Ron has been very prompt, forthright and up front with me. I can recommend him for his customer service with no reservations.

I will post again after I get a chance to try out the VRAH. FYI it is rated for 14 guage mild steel and cost around $2100, including shipping from Texas to Kansas City.
