Hello folks,

I have for sale a hand-crafted leather shoulder bag with tooling inspired J.R.R. Tolkien's artwork. Its measurements are approximately 15x11x4". The dragon and edge motif are borrowed from among J.R.R. Tolkien's early '30s paintings, and the patch on the bottom includes his personal initials. The patch was actually an afterthought, made to cover an error on the leather's surface created by a bad measurement. Everything is hand-carved without tracing, and all of the sewing is done by hand with needle, thread and awl as in the olden days. As with most things I make, there are small mistakes here and there in the tooling and stitching - the two main points worth noting are that the patch sits slightly crooked and that if the bag is not very full and being worn at one's side, a bit of soft leather near the top of the lid will pinch while it's being worn (a material fault rather than my own). All in all I am very pleased with how the project turned out, given that I've never crafted such a thing before... It took a great many hours!

It is for sale on my Etsy page for $200 + $25 S/H within the continental US. Cheers!
