LF/WTB cheap aluminum (or plastic?) simple shoulders/elbows

Post by talaananthes »

I see Bokalo. Are they good to go in terms of actually getting your stuff? Always seems to be another previously reputable armory going bonkers.

Any other good options?

He is very reputable. His stated deadlines for getting armor out are pretty accurate. If he has any problems that will delay getting your armor out he will notify you by either phone or email.

Why aluminum/plastic?
Ironmonger armour does good work, but may not respond until after pennsic.
Rough from the hammer on Facebook does stainless and mild steel cops fairly cheap.

Because I'm going to be wearing them in the water. I'm putting together a set of arms for whitewater kayaking because most modern style sports arm guards suck and have horrible mobility.

Fluid Film is magic stuff but I don't want steel in the water, and in any case paddling I don't need SCA grade protection and want to save as much weight as possible.

duke baldar makes a inexpensive pair of elbow cops: http://www.shop.mastereirik.com/Armor_c15.htm
not sure where you can get plastic shoulder cops.

I make titanium cops and shoulders but they are not cheap.

What size are those elbows? I'm a pretty skinny dude and they seem to be one size.

I have some 3/4 arms from made by Bokalo that I can sell also I have demi gauntlets, They are satin finish aluminum and made for a smaller 5'7" ish person. They have never been fought in but have been kicking it around my garage for 2-3 years. They are 165$ a pair from bokalo so I can do 100$ shipped conus for the arms and maybe 30$ shipped for the demis.

Edit: I took the strapping off to use on my other arms so they are unstrapped.
