Greetings All,
I am parting with my armor as I venture forth into a new business opportunity and I have no time for SCA play any longer. This is a full suit of Dark Victory plastic armor that has been modified slightly for my comfort and size. I cut the chest plate into three sections and the back into two sections to allow for more mobility. All of the pieces are held together with Para cord, which could be swapped out for leather straps if you wanted to go that far. The kit is light to wear and easy to move in. Since it is plastic it absorbs the hits and does not dent. There is padding in the arms, and gorget, for my chest and legs I wore football style compression shirts and shorts with integrated padding.
I am only asking $200 for the entire set up, that is $50 less than the original cost of a full suit from Dark Victory and it is already covered in material to make it look legal.
The entire kit is covered with red and black micro suede cloth which was adhered to the plastic with 3M adhesive spray glue. I have worn it several times in fighter practice and when I authorized to fight in heavy weapons at Duke U in the Orlando area. This will also include the belt and web gear suspenders for the legs. This sale is for the entire kit. There are 55 pictures of the armor, and there are pictures of the kit boxed and ready to ship with the dimensions and weight listed so you can figure out the shipping. I plugged the numbers into the USPS system and shipped to Anchorage Alaska it could run close to $70. Please take a look at the picture I have on google and if there is any problem viewing them I will send copies in email to anyone who asks. I have also included a link to Dark Victory so you can see the before pics of the kit and see that the cost is accurate.
