Sold.

A small belt knife suitable for European personas, or others that might have traded with the west.
Based on dug finds, similar single edged style utility knives are found all over western Europe from the Roman period to the modern age.
Suitable for general carry and use at events, feasting, or any other task for which a small and handy knife is called for.

Carbon steel blade, made from 1/8th inch stock and razor sharp.
5 3/4 inch blade, just a hair over 10 inches overall.
Brass hardware.
Rough mirror polish.

The wood is from a box of scraps given to me by Llewelyn Goddodin some years ago, and almost none of it was marked...So while it is a sturdy hardwood, I am not sure what it is....Probably mahogany, possibly cherry.
It is sealed with beeswax/paraffin, rubbed in hot, in period manner.

Leather pouch type sheath, and will come with a suitable leather thong to hang from your belt.

$80, with sheath.

I take paypal for payment.

Shipping will be an additional $12.

Thanks for looking.

I had a few more knives made up- but got ambushed before I could post them, and they were sold.

Not a convenient update- but now at least the pics can be viewed as links.
I'm sure theres a way to do these as direct images..but I haven't figured it out yet.
