I am new to the SCA and looking for a fairly inexpensive new or used combat legal helm. If anybody has something like this you can contact me at Augerjosh@yahoo.com. Thank you.

Can you give us a couple ideas of what you're looking for? IE, what do you consider to be "fairly inexpensive"? Some people think $100 is a darn lot of money, and other people think a $200 helm is cheap.

Also, do you have ANY idea what kind of helm you'd like? IE, you can get a spun top, round body helm for about a hundred bucks new from some companies, but it looks, well, like a round football helmet.

I was thinking between $75 and $150 total cost. Right now I just want to get started, so I'm not really concerned with looks. I would like something in good shape that won't restrict my visability very much, and can take a beating. Thats about it for right now. Thanks.
