This weekend at val day i traded a 16ga 1/4" id stainless steel coif with copper trim on it for one of Otto's crusader helms. The helm is beutiful, i would not be surprised to be seeing White Mountain caliber armour from this guy in about a years time. He was great to deal with to. All in all i could not ask for a better trade.
p.s. Otto if you could please post an opinion on my maillework(on a seperate post please) that would be great, i am looking into taking a few smaller commissions
Thanks
Tarquin

Tarquin, actually, I did post an opinion on your maille-work in the post that I made (unfortunately selling the item, but that is NO reflection on the quality of workmanship... only that I don't really need a coif)
I thought the coif in question was VERY well done. I tried it on later and it sat quite well... no over-stretching or bunching at all. The appearance was very nice, on or off. The stainless links with copper bordering makes for a very pleasing appearance. I would have to consider you a very skilled maille maker.
Oh, my site is located at
http://members.tripod.com/sbvast
and the pics on it are unfortunately both out of date and of poor quality.
And finally... many thanks for the kind review.

I must agree about Otto's craftsmanship, for his work is great and the turn around time was very fast as well.

Due, you're a businessman!!
Put up current and good pics. You don't see last year's Lexus in the Lexus ads.

Was it the klappface (I think it was in the middle of the table? Kinda like what Sir Nigel wears?). Redwald and I were drooling over that one *grin*.
At events like that, we really "should" put an Armor Archive meet and beat on.

i guess you could say it is sorta like what nigel wears, however this helm is an entirly different time period, yes it was the one in the middle of the table.
