Gambeson for Sale

Post by Alec »

The gambeson is padded with a layer of movers pad, faced with with natural (buff) colored linen and lined with white linen. The sleves are 3 layer linen with another 7-8 layers in the shoulder. Its closed with linen cord points through hand sewn eyelets down the center of the chest. The shoulders are pointed for pauldrons.

I will fit a 40ish coat size with a slim waist.

I can e-mail photos, but don't have the ability to post on the Archive.

I am asking $200

Alec sewed the body of mine for me and I'm extremely happy with it. Except that mine has a collar, no leather reinforcements, and is *real* dirty, they're virtually identical.

I'll trade you for a crappy "spangenhelm" I bought from Knights Edge or something like that, that's not even worth spitting on. Sigh.. but no really, if I had the money I'd buy one in an instant. Unfortunately I'm poor and in debt, so I'll have to pass up on this one, but if you still have them in januaryish, I might consider buying one if I have the money.
