Review: James River Armoury

Post by Ringlancer »

Hey all!

I ordered a set of arms and a set of spaulders from Eric (ARMOURERERIC here on the archive) at James River Armoury.

I am a very happy customer.

I have them in time for Pennsic, and have enough time to integrate the pieces into the rest of my kit.

The vams aren't just straight tubes, they are tuliped and curved, just perfect for late 14th c. style. The fit is just right...not bad since I'm in Baltimore and he is out San Diego-ish way.

They are exactly what I ordered and what I wanted

Eric has made my legs, gorget, arms and spaulders now. I cannot sing his praises high enough. The only thing that would make it better is if he made hardened spring, lived closer and I had something to blackmail him with.

In short (too late) I'm a very satisfied customer.

Thanks Eric!

Hmmm....greaves and sabs next? :D

Will do! Oh, and I've been a good little customer and waxed the hell out of them already...actually, I had them waxed within 2 hours out of the box!

Will you be attending Lochmere Baronial birthday? We should be there and I'd like to meet you...and your rig, hehehe.
