Howdy!
Rent is due again, and I am short of funds so I am parting with a suit of armour that I have had for about ten years now.

This is a German suit of full plate armour with breast and back, tassets and faulds, fully encased arms, full legs with encased greaves, full finger gauntlets, and a close helm with horsehair crest and a plume holder.
This was made by a German armourer, Herr Schneider of Essenfeld, GE.
He does great historically accurate work, and this particular armour is based on a museum piece that is in Wurzburg Festung.

It is made of 18 GA mild steel and was meant to be worn, but not to be fought in. I don't think you'd want to beat it up anyway. It's too pretty.
It comes with a burgundy Arming coat, burgundy leather pouch with black maltese cross on it, and a burgundy velvet pouch/bag, all of which match the color of the horsehair crest.
Oh, and it comes with it's own armour stand.

It has some light rust on it. Nothing serious.
I usually clean and wax it before and after wearing it, but I haven't worn it yet this year so it could use a little TLC. One of the reasons I am selling it. I have eleven suits of armour now, and I simply don't have the time or inclination to clean that many of them. Especially the ones that are all-steel; like this one.

I am asking $550.00 plus shipping...you choose the method of shipping.
I originally paid arund $1,300.00.
Along with the armour I will send you Herr Schneider's catalogue, which is not so much a catalogue as a collection of plates that show several recovered period pieces that were native to the region, most of which are now in museums that do not allow any photography, or in unviewable private collections...pieces that Herr Schneider was willing to make modern reproductions of.

I have several pictures for those who are interested.

Pictures?

I have a Art-dealer friend who is getting into collecting armour... This sounds like something he'd be interested in.
