Yep, plates are brown, laced with OD paracord. The lacing is new (never been fought in), I just finished lacing it the other day. The plates themselves are used though, I just relaced my armour for sale.

This stuff looks good guys. At the first practice that Brodir wore this, I was about 10-15' feet away and asked him how long it took him to drill out all the leather tabs and lace them together. He laughed and was quite happy that I thought it was leather.
