Hey guys,
You may have heard about how great this book is for learning to punch. If I told you that I could teach you how to KO a man thirty pounds out of your weight class WITH A JAB, you'd laugh me right off this thread. But as one of the last generation of boxers with enough athletes in the field to force quality play (most of today's heavy-weights wouldn't have made it off the bum tour in Dempsey's day), his credentials stand on their own.
The weight mechanics should also translate directly to several of the basic shots in SCA combat. The problem is it is out of print and originals of the 1956 addition go for 450 or so each.
I am considering getting a special reprinting of this book. I've got a specialty house that has worked out details and has gotten permission (for a heavy fee) to redo it from the copyright holder. I'll probably have an idea of the price in a few days. Would anyone be interested in a copy? Could you pass the word around? I'll be putting it up on the www.roachesoftheintellect.net site and will take Paypal. I'm guessing we are talking roughly 60 a copy.
