Lewis Moore "Rus" Helmet w/aventail for sale! $200

Hey folks,
I purchased this helmet from Lewis Moore of Knight's Armoury a few months back (He's since stopped taking commissions on a regular schedule, I believe). I've worn it to a couple of events and people have really found it cool, and it fits me great. But, I'm quickly adopting more accurate gear, and am starting work on a website business so must part with this to increase my funds...
It will come with a felt cap which was hand-sewn by me from several layers of craft felt to fill in the need for an appropriate, period liner. The cap was originally meant to be glued inside as an "almost-permament" liner, but I pulled it out.... So, the cap on it's own is ugly, but it makes a fine liner, and the inside of it is clean/cleanable!
It is of 16-gauge mild steel construction and includes a buckled chin-strap. The aventail is constructed of 16-gauge wire with a 1/2" outer ring diameter. It was made to fit about a 23" head with a thin, period leather liner, but my felt cap makes it snug on my 22.5" noggin. The helmet will be buffed out a bit more before shipping, and has no pitting/etc... Just some minor surface rust, which I'll try to get rid of best as I can before shipping!
The original inspiration for the helmet came from a generic "Eastern" style helmet made by Joe Piela of The Lonely Mountain Forge which I saw on his site. I showed Lewis the picture, and described some detail changes I'd like, asked for a quote and voila, this helmet was born. The design is not based on anything I've found in particular, but is a generalized stylization of several 13th century occulared helmets that I've seen originating in Russia.
I originally paid about $280 for the helmet w/aventail and shipping. I am asking for $200 and an additional twenty dollars for shipping anywhere in the continental US. Please email me at wisgliebau@yahoo.com or send me a private messege (or respond in here, if you wish) if you are interested!
Thanks!
