Greetings,

My leather gauntlet failed me recently (NOT a house of the wolf one) and i so i am now looking for a set of:

-steel mitten gauntlets (fingered not available in my kingdom even if i could afford them)
-something around the $250 mark as i'm a student
-pref. articulated thumb
-pref. with enclosed thumb

Can people recommend some suppliers to have a look at, probably won't be able to purchase for a few months but want to have a look around.

Wulgar, here's a pic of the muntions gauntlets I do, 180.00 in polished stainless, I'm currently working on a commision that will take me thru the next 6 weeks or so, but could have a pair out to you shortly there after. If you haven't found something in that time drop me a line. Do you know Sir Ulf from New Zealand? I made a pair for him some years ago

I make a hardened leather lock gauntlet that is esentially a basket hilt you wear on your hand. It does not open and close. The thumb piece tucks under the end of the hand section.

Thankyou for your response,

Torvold i have seen your work first hand (you made a pair of legs for my squire brother) and Ullieag i like both your work and think that it is most impressive, but i no longer trust leather gauntlets and so am looking for steel. but thankyou for your responses.

Thankyou to the others that have replied i will follow up and see what can be arranged.

Thanks

Sorry you had a bad time with your other leather gauntlets. Mine were made by Uilleag and I totally trust them. I've had some monster shots ring off my hands when I'm using them and no damage whatsoever. I use them for everything including when I'm using saber and shield.
Just sayin.

Yes i am rather dissapointed that my gauntlets failed aswell, they were awesome for weight and movement, although a little cumbersome for changing grip.

I am sure that both Ulleag's and Torvolds gauntlets are fantastic and would probably be fine but i just wouldn't feel safe in leather gauntlets. Unfortunately as i live in Aus i am unable to try a pair out either.

but thanks for the recommendation Animal
