Cherbourg Breastplate wanted

I am looking for a cherbourg style breastplate (the segmented type) out of 16g mild, and I don't want to spend a fortune, nor do I have the time to produce it myself right now- any recommendations on reputable armorers out that from the board?
Thanks
Brucer

Hey did I miss something? When I look on your website it shows a price of $335 for stainless steel. Am I just dumb or is there something I am missing?
Cheers,
kris

It's his brushed stainless, ie non-mirror finished like most of his armor is.
I can say for a fact that his armor is lightweight sturdy, and he guarantees fit. I would buy from Ice Falcon again.
Just make sure you don't buy from his offshoot company, DARKSUN WOLFBLOOD & SON'S DRAGONMOON JAGGED SHITTY ACCESORIES.

Woohoo! Gotta put together my wish list! Maybe I am just shy but I can't imagine wearing a mirror-finish on the war field. I get targeted enough without making myself stand-out even more.
cheers,
kris

I have the time and materials but my skill is lacking.
I could produce something servicible
but it would probibly not be the best looking thing on the field.
I have one I finished in plastic to help refine the pattern listed on ebay

Check Truehearth Armouries, at Truehearth.com. He has mild Cherberg breastplates for a fair price.

We have a line of economy armor. The economy is that you save a lot of money as we do not take the time (and products) to put a mirror finish on the item. Our prices are much lower on the brush finish stainless, though you are still getting the same quality in armor with all of the bells and whistles (top quality leather straps, rivets and buckles).
You can persuse these low prices stainless items at :
http://icefalcon.safeshopper.com/17/cat17.htm?808
We also have some really nice full harness specials in the economy section such as our full milanese brush stainless harness for only $775. This comes fully strapped and ready to wear. I think it is one of the best starter harnesses available. No extra work needed to get it ready to wear.

Cheers!

Does this have a backplate? Also your son has moved to Duncan Right? Is he doing Armour there?

by AB Hammer
It is a typical wrap that goes around the back but dosn't cover the upper back.
Dragos is in Durant OK. now, but he still gets his money for what he did. He is not as yet for making armour there, for all the tools are here and I don't have enough to split for him yet. Time will tell, he just wanted to live by his mother. (just a little home sick for mom, you know how that goes)

Durant... thats what I ment I don't know why I said Duncan. I guess it is cause we had family in both when I was a kid. Course I like Durant best as it is close to my favorite Lake. How old is your son? I always just thought he was grown when I read ya'lls threads.

Did you actually read what I said?

If so go back and read it again reeeeeal slow. Because I am married to a PA girl who has six very nice sisters and one brother whom I call "my" Brother. If I had MY way we would live in PA. T some times can be a bit bossy and want to stay at home too much but I would not trade her for a sh*t load of good ol girls. No offence to Okie girls but we been together for going on 28 years.

I am Sorry I miss understood. It is just that a Pa girl for Dragos may be too much for him. We have a tendency to be to fast and furious for most men and we always know what we want and when we want it. So he would most likely want start out with a slower paced OK corn fed farm girl till he builds up the stamina to keep up with us PA girls

Queen "B" Huh, you wouldn't be the reason for the sudden move to Durant would you.

Oh, and FYI- Cherbourg is a coastal city in Normandy. The famous armory in South Tyrol is Schloss Churburg. If I had a buck for every time someone has misspelled this name, I'd buy a ticket to go there...

Gotta be more than 5 pounds my 18 ga spring one is about 6
Either way, it ain't going to weigh a lot, and at that price, you will have a good looking, no maintenance kind of kit.

ROFL Samuel!
Duke Icefalcon, may I refer your ever-so-special price to a friend, who is a Lady in the Mid-realm who was to have gone to her first fighter-practice yesterday (Sunday) She's posted a couple of times over in OT as Lady Nai. She is a lady with couage to try this sport after two bad auto accidents (she has her medical blessing). I don't know if she is ready to make a commitment on a breastplate so soon, but know that is the piece of armor she is most concerned with fitting.
