We have moved to a new house witch is smaller (downsized) and the room that will be used to display my collection is about 1/3 the size of what we had. There is just not enough space to have four suits of Armour displayed. So I have decided to sell this suit.

It was used by me to fight in the SCA. It is all mild steel. It is used. Has some minor dents and some very light surface rust. All and all it is in fair to good condition. The helm has interchangeable face guards. As pictured, Bar Grille and a Meshed Bar Grille for Archery, foam liner and chin strap. The Greeves are not full. Front only.....

I am selling it as you see it Complete. $800.00 or Best Offer. Buyer to pay shipping. (estimated at about $35.00 depending on location). I take PayPal.

I am 5'11" tall and when I used this suit I weighed about 220lbs. My head size is 23-1/4".

I hope this suit finds a goods home. I do not want to store it in a box.

Wow...thats a slick deal...the helm alone would run half your asking price, or damn close.

Cripes....deals like that will spoil me....though I'm not currently in the market for a new harness.

Any chance of getting some chest/waist measurements on this?

It will fit a 44" chest and a 38" waist with some room to spare. I was approx. that size when I used it last and it fit well.

Who were the parts made by, and what date/style would you say the pieces are? Any better photos or close-ups available?

Cheers,
Tim

Hey Tim, Sorry for the slow reply.

The helm is in the German Style c. 1400. The suit is more along the Italian style. Composed of pieces that may have been from Rhodes. Mid and late 1500th century. It deffinatley is a composite. The spaulder reflect a German infulence as well, about the same time period.

Most of the pieces were made by Rob Valenitne. Back when he was in a small shop and building SCA Armour. The Sabatons were made by Patrick Thaden, when he was just starting.

Thanks for looking
