Wanted: WWII Reenactment gear

Post by Glen K »

But, of course, I want it cheap. :) If you happen to have anything you're looking to sell, or (better yet) would trade for some top-notch CW reenactment gear, please contact me. I wear 44 coat, 38 waist, and I'm looking for repro and original. Thanks!

I'm looking for things too, if'n you don't mind Glen :-)
Must be all original, for collecting rather than re-enactment.

I have an entire Russian WWII impression I want to sell. Let me know if you have any interest. Mostly top notch repro gear plus some original. Both summer and winter gear.

I suggest contacting Paul von Katzenellenbogen here on the forum. He is/was a WW2 reenactor and is really knowledgeable on the subject. I am sure he can steer you in the right direction. He may even have what you are looking for.
Don't worry about the horse being blind, just load the wagon.

On the cheap..... Hummmm I don't know.

I started collecting in 1959 Okinawa. I was a kid and the war left overs were on the black market. Still have some of it. My favorite is the M1 big ass bayonet. Got some web gear and assorted junk I call my treasures...

I got stories to tell about exploring the Japanese caves. Hand dug into the mountains. Some came out with a secret opening into the big white cement tombs on the hill side. Bullets everywhere unexploded ordnance out the ass..
All the guns were very rusted. The bones were not rusty, they were green.

Oh wait one more.... When the tide or waves would wash up on the beach, instead of a long line of sea shells it would be .50 cal. bullet heads.... darnedest thing I ever saw..

That's VERY cool, Halberds... very few of us have been lucky enough to visit ANY Pacific battlefields... they're just so far away and (often) so hard to get to. My boss has been to Corregidor when he was much younger and shown me some pics, but he's one of the few I know who have been to any.

FYI: for doing WW2 re-enacting I'd guess going Russian is the cheapest

Hats

Post by VikingLeather »

I have 2 WWII original hats. One OD green and one khaki, if there is any interest. There is even some vintage newspaper around the inside of the liner. Very good condition, all leather in great shape, no bug bites on the material. If any interest, I will take some pics.
