I assume you took this from the Illusion Armoury site. I've been trying to get ahold of them as well. I am interested in the Peascod breastplate and have written several times with no response. Frustrating when you want to spend money but no one wants to take it.

If they won't even talk to you when they haven't taken your money yet think what they'll do when they have your money.

My thoughts exactly. It's a shame, they make some beautiful stuff.

Greetings Pippin, my name is Ken Zicker, I may be able to help you, here is a pic of the latest German B&B I finished. I have not made one of the style you are requesting but feel confident in my abilities to create this one for you. If you cannot find one of the other fine armorers here on the A.A. to help you, please contact me at

Thanks

Illusion is probably up to their neck in orders this time of year.
I don't think that's any indication that they'll take someone's money and then hide from correspondance with the customer. In fact, I've noted the great incease in customer service provided by Illusion.
Several years ago, Illusion did suffer from backlog and miscommunication problems.
But that's true for many armouries and individual armourers, now isn't it?

That said, I enjoy seeing Ken's posts and his products, and I think it would be excellent to commission a cuirass from him.
Illusion has enough business, after all.

I have also ordered pieces of armour form both Illusion and from Ken, and I will order from Ken again and again. Illusion was good to deal with and there where no problems with my order or anything, but working with Ken on a piece is just a fantastic experience. As someone else pointed out after getting a piece from him it is as if you have hired a personal armourer, and I echo that sentiment. Just my 2 cents worth.

Pippin or can we call you Pip for short? Any ways, you are OK with a full suit of plate at the end of the 14th century. The only thing that in the picture that I wonder about is the besagews. I thought besegews disapeared near the middle of the 14th century. I may be off here but not remembering any in any illistrations.
Ken do you have a website or photo gallery of your armour online?
