Funny thing is I just recently decided to go all Wisby with my SCA stuff so I could make most of the armor myself; gauntlets are what I needed to buy. Trying to keep my SCA costs down since I am going to have a 15th c suit of armor made for jousting in.

I saw gauntlets similar to these on ebay before, anyone know how protective the thumb lame is?

I have been corresponding with the man making these...he will be cranking out a few sets in the next few weeks, so do not despair...there will be more.

I recently made a pair with that pattern. Thumb coverage is good, wrist movement is excellent. I used 18 stainless so it was a lot more hassle.
T.Bob took one hell of a low price for that much work polishing!

That part takes forever compared to the rest of the assembly.
Cheers!

I like them allot!
These fit my large fat hands well; the fingers cover well without being intrusive. Wrist is a bit stiff but being leather they will break in, they cuff is large enough to allow movement anyway. Rivets are well set and flush, quite a feat considering the number of them. I have to say this is one spanking nice looking product. I will have to get some pictures of them with my HE arms after I get back from GA.
