I am switching persona. So, while I figure out exactly what type of helm I want and who will make it, I need an interum helm.
I figured a very simple open face sallet would work nicely. Nothing special, 14ga mild steel and it doesn't even have to be polished as I plan to paint it and add castings to it.
Anyone have one sitting around or is willing to make one?
Since this is only an interum helm I am not looking to put a bunch of money into it.
anyone?

Come on guys. I know someone has to be willing to make one or has one sitting around the house.
Like I said, not looking for perfect, just looking for "not ugly"

What about Ironmonger's early ridgetop sallet?

personally I don't like the shape of that helm. It looks less like an open face sallet and more like an open faced barbute. Plus I don't want a visored bargrille.
Thank you though.

sorry man, a nice open face sallet is tough to find. That's why I just ordered one for me from Windrose. The one I have is a tiny bit too small, and is getting me hurt.

I am finding that out. My problem is that I don't want to sink a bunch of money into one since it will only be an interum helm.
Heck, I would be fine with one that isn't finished. I can have a grill welded on locally...
Was just kind of hoping someone have a partially finished one laying around their shop they were willing to give up.
Guess not.

Try Cet here on the archive, I believe he could hook you up.
He does really nice work.
Or do what I ended up doing when I wanted a custom open face Italian sallet....
Make it!

Without a shine or a visor, I'll bet Beathan would only charge $100-120 or so...
