Hello folks,

I commissioned Dan Houchins to make me some brown leather greaves for a living history outfit that I was working on (Mycenaean Greek) some time ago, and they came out wonderfully. I removed the straps from them as they were not strapped historically, but the holes are there for future strapping on these pieces. They come up to just below the knee, and should fit someone with a calf that's somewhere around 16" in circumference at the widest point. They are 11" high, and form-fitting.

When I commissioned them as a custom set I paid over $175, because of their complex shape. Because they were made for my rather odd purposes, I'll let them go for much less. They'd be great for SCA wear with proper knee protection above them. They'll have to be strapped. I wore them with wrapping to secure them, as was assumed to be done for the portrayal I did... But, that wouldn't hold up to well in combat, in my opinion.

Anyway, I'd like to start out by asking $100 for the pair with $10 shipping and handling on them. They haven't taken any damage since I got them, as I didn't use them for combat. In fact, I didn't get a chance to use them at an event, even..! Oh, well.

I'll take paypal, and they'll be shipped priority with insurance for the grand total that you'll put down for them. International buyers would have a few more bucks for shipping, I'd say. If you don't have paypal and would like them let me know, and we can work something out.

Cheers!
