Review: Performance Armour

Several months ago I decided to just break down and get exactly what I wanted for armour...and pay for it. I found a style that I liked on the Performance Armour website and sent off an email. Derek Stiver was quick to respond and told me that my order could be processed as soon as half the money was sent...which I did fairly quickly. He worked on it right away and I started to hope that I would get it for Pennsic (I had assumed that custom armour would take longer and wasn't holding my breath). A while later, he contacted me to tell me it was completed and to send the rest of the money. I was floored! There were a few shipping issues after that, which I expected since shipping armour (or anything really) to Canada can often be a problem. Despite the shipping issues, I got my armour in plenty of time to wear it at Pennsic and was thrilled. I think it looks great and its MUCH lighter than the leather suit that I used to wear. He was very nice to deal with. My only complaint really was that some of the rivets weren't peened over properly, but this took about 10 min to fix. Overall a really good experience...and I shouldn't need new armour for a LONG time.

Here's what I ordered:
titanium Full arms with Rondels
Titanium Full legs with rondels
SS spaulders (custom design, only one lame)

And here's a link to a pic of me wearing the armour:
