Perhaps you might consider going to another armourer?

As InfinitySteel generally asks for no money down on commissions (as in my case...I've not received ordered merchandise either), there's no real loss generally. Your case may vary, though--I don't know how he deals with in-stock orders.

Julian Dupree:

From which ward are you loosing your patients?

...or do you mean you're losing your patience?

I actually think the rule of thumb is that you cannot complain about an armourer until it is over a year past the due date.

But, thats the point where you ask, if there is anybody who has seen the armourer...

At the two year overdue date, you may issue your second complaint... this one should be the "I'm really getting worried about this armourer" complaint.

At the three year mark... I believe you are to issue the "I'm considering demanding a refund"

At four years... the lawyer is usually involved and mail fraud suit is talked over... etc...

Well, the items I bought and had sent the money, he said in a message would ship on October the 18th, then he vanishes like a fart in the wind. Then Ceddie says that he was able to get ahold of him and he has "problems" but with no detial as to what they are. If Terry or Mike or whoever the hell is running the show is layed up that bad then perhaps he should take a page from Stonekeep's book and post a message saying "Hey I am sick, I will get in contact as soon as I am better". Frankly as in terms of waiting, I have ZERO patience for getting the run around, which as of right I am feeling that I am. I have decided that if I do not have ether my gear in my hands or my money back by december 15th I am going to file a complaint with my bank(which probley wouldn't do much but you never know) and a fraud complaint with the postal service. And yes yes yes yes I know people are going to say give him more time, but how much more time should I offer up for "instock" items?

My customers ahve a right to complain the day I am late, but it does not happen because on the occasions when I am late I contact my customers, explain the situiation, give a new date, and offer the deposit refund should the new date not be acceptable.
Its not that tough to do. If my system crashed and i could not get online i would find someone with web access and have them post the situiation here.
Staying in contact is very important from a buisness perspective.

Ditto... can't say it any better. It amazes me that so many don't hold themselves to these basic business principles.

Have to agree with WMA and Stonekeep- if he is laid up/sick/had an attack of real life, it sure would be nice if he posted something here. I was interested in getting some stuff from him, but now that he seems to have pulled a vanishing act, my enthusiam for doing business with him is considerably diminished. A pity, since from what has posted he seems to have a good idea of what it takes to mass produce gear for the SCA and WMA crowd that is afforable but still has a period esthetic. It would be a shame if he dropped out of the mix.

Ditto what brucer said. I hope he is ok. I was also looking forward to ordering some stuff from him, as were several people in my Barony.

Please give me infinity-steel phone number
