FS Starfire Broadsword w/ Sheath and Frog - PRICE DROP!!

It's a hard thing to part with, but since no one I fight with uses anything so thick and heavy the piece just isn't doing me much good.

It's got a few nicks and a small discolored spot on the blade. The grip wrappings are in like-new condition - you can see in the pic that I've used a little black athletic tape at one end to help keep the wrappings from unraveling. It includes a leather sheath and vertical-loop frog. The blade is 28" and overall length is 39".

I paid $385 for all of it two years ago at a Legacy Forge booth and have only used it once or twice for stage combat practice, and once as a stylish costume accessory. I'd be happiest with $300 (shipped within the continental US), but I'm open to offers, including trades for some armor pieces (I'm interested in vambraces, greaves, and gauntlets).

My eBay ID is doctor.moreau (I haven't used it since I got married and started using my wife's account "ladyceleste"), so you can check my feedback rating there if you're leery of buying from strangers. I prefer paypal, but money orders are okay, too.

Let me know if you have any questions or comments.
Thanks!
J

I hate to say it, But you are going to be hard pressed selling a starfire on this board with a $300 price tag, when for a little more one can purchase an Albion.

I like starfire's and the group I fight with does use them, but I can't afford that price right now.

would you consider a pair if gauntlets in trade?

MJBlazek - I was sort of afraid of that . . . the market for these weapons seems pretty soft right now. Like I said, I'm open to offers. :)

Whonew: I'm sort of thinking trades as "plan b", but I'd consider it. Do you have pics? I'll PM my email address.

Thanks to everyone who's the time to look! :D

Okaaaay, so the market is dryer than I expected . . .

Do I hear $275? That includes the sheath, frog and shipping, btw - that'd be worth at least $400 were this weapon brand new, and I have to emphasize that it's only been used once or twice for light theatrical combat practice. You can tell your friends you robbed me. ;)

PM with other offers!
