15th C. pleated coat for sale

Post by Black Swan Designs »

PRE-SEASON SPECIAL

I have the following 15th C. pleated coat in stock.

Image

The gown is worn over a red mahoitred doublet. Please note- the coat is cut to be worn over a mahoited doublet. The sleeves will not look like this if it is worn without a doublet, or if it is worn over a non-mahoitred doublet.

*Brand new, never used (except for the photo)
*BSD stock Small (40" chest/34" waist)
*Berry wool blend lined with black linen
*Tapered sleeves, no slit
*No machine stitching on exterior (maybe none on the interior as well, I'd have to look)
*Closes with hooks center front

Regular $379, Special $299*

(Only because it's been hanging in the closet for a year and it's a small size for the US market)

Please direct enquiries to gwen[at]historicenterprises.com

Thanks!

Here are a few reference images of coats like this in period. All are from late 15th C. sources and depict several variations. The coat for sale is not as posh as those depicted in these images.
