Tent finials

Post by Glaukos the Athenian »

Greetings,

I am trying to find a finial for my tent, and I cannot find any wood spheres or plastice ones larger than 5 inches.

Anyone has any ideas? I don't want to spend a fortune on this and also it should be reasonably easy to find.

Am I missing somehting? is there a source for a let's say 8 inch wood or plastic ball tha one can drill and not so light that it will fly off the top?

Thanks!

I'd search under flagpole parts, personally. :)

All of my finials (A flame, two towers, and an orb) are made from turned wood. The orb came with my Revival round pavillion. The other three were made for me by a friend with a lathe and access to a stack of pallets...
