Final week for commissions

Greetings all,

The time is fast approaching when I will no longer be able to take orders. As of next Saturday, the 14th, House of the Wolf Leather Working, will be temporarily closing its doors for orders. This will allow 6 more weeks of production to finish up orders prior to my deployment.

As a reminder, I will be leaving my website up with the gallery page and the tutorials for shovel greaves and bauzubands, along with the care and maintenance section, so I won't disappear completely. :)

My national gaurd unit should be returning sometime during the summer of '08, and I will be re-opening the shop as soon as I can get the new digs organized.

I want to take a minute to thank all of my customers who have stood by me through the hard times, and the late deliveries, as well as all of the kind words and wishes I have recieved from you all.

For those who would like to be kept up-to-date with how I am doing, I am establishing a mailing list on my email account; danhouchins@yahoo.com This email address will probably change, but for the time being, if you would like to hear from me, please email that address and I will add you to the address group.

Again, it has been a great experience learning and sharing with you all, and I will be posting pics of these final projects as they get completed and share what I can prior to my leaving, so you will hear from me again before I leave, but this is the announcement of the final week that I can take orders and complete them before I ship out.

Dan,
I know that every one who owns or has seen your work already knows it, but I wanted to say that you make top notch stuff. And I wanted you to know how thankful I am for all the work you have done , how much I really appreciate your armour and how much I respect you as a fighter and a friend.
Gods speed.

Don't y'all hate insistant merchants. Actually the replies have been great, both public and private. Thank you all for your support of me, the US and most importantly my armoury.

Dan,

Come back safely (I am assuming you are going over to the sandbox). I look forward to reading the posts that you are back and that HOTW is back in business. Until then, may peace favor you and fortune smile on you and yours.

I am heading out of town this evening for more national gaurd training, so I will not be able to respond to emails, pms or this thread until Monday, but midnight saturday the 14th is the deadline to place orders before I have to politely refuse. I cannot make exceptions to this, because I want to make sure that I can complete everyone's projects before I have to close my doors for a while.

I have a few slots open in my commission list, so please place your orders beofre the deadline, or I will have to refer you to my esteemed fellow leather armourers. I am sure they will appriciate the business, but I want to get as much armour out on the field as I can before I go away for a while.

Look for my update posts while I am gone, and look forward to some pictures of completed projects between now and the end of May. :)
